Sikorski, Vincent Clarence Was born on February 7, 1935 in Doran, MN to Henry J. and Margaret (Muellen-bach) Sikorski. He grew up in the Tenney, MN and Fairmount, ND areas with his parents and eight siblings. He attended area country schools and worked on the farm. Vince entered the U.S. Navy in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1957. He married Beverly J. Peterson on April 18, 1959 in Brookfield, IL. They lived in Park Ridge, IL where Vince was employed by Skokie Park District. In 1960, they moved to Deephaven, MN and resided there for 5 years before moving to their permanent home in Excelsior, MN. After moving to Minnesota, Vince worked with his brother Fritz doing carpentry. Vince enjoyed gardening and yard work, playing cards, spending time with family and friends, and ushering at church. He had a great sense of humor, creating mischief in his wake with a twinkle in his eyes. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in Excelsior, MN. Vince is survived by Beverly, his wife of 58 years, Excelsior; two sons and two daughters: Brian (Angelia) Sikorski, Brandon, MS; Cheryl (Scott) Shonkwiler, Rochester, MN; RaNaye (Chuck) Schrantz, Osceola, WI; Chris (Jody) Sikorski, Henderson, NV; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, John (Donna) Sikorski, Marge Kressin, Pat (Steve) Palmer, and Cathy (Pinky) Rubish; sisters-in-law, Marlys Sikorski and Barb Sikorski; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clem and his wife Viola "Ole" Sikorski, Victor "Vic" Sikorski, Henry "Fritz" Sikorski; and one sister Veronica "Roni" Rode and her husband Vern Rode; brother-in-law Allen Kressin; and one grandson. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 680 Mill Street, Excelsior (952-474-8868).
