Roessler, Martin of Edina, 89, died June 24 after a five-year journey with cancer. Born and grew up in Cochrane, Wisconsin. Served in the U.S. Air Force. Winona State University graduate. Retired Blue Cross employee. Active in the church and community. Member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church for 60 years. Docent at Mia. Enjoyed: frequent European and domestic travel to visit museums, cribbage, reading, and unofficial coaching of most sports. Preceded in death by parents, William and Selma. Survived by wife of 63 years, Jean, and daughters Catherine (Steven) Webster and Peg Roessler (Loren Sinning). Memorial service Sat., July 1 at 11 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis, 55409. Luncheon to follow. Visitation beginning at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Starfish Ministry, Community Emergency Services (1900 11th Ave. S., Mpls. MN 55404), or N.C.
