Catherson, John Thomas Age 80, of Anoka County, passed away March 12, 2017 in Seattle WA. Preceded in death by parents, son, Daniel; and one grand child. Navy Veteran, retired from Honeywell Local 1145 in 1991, was a lifetime member of the Coon Rapids VFW. John was always there with a smile and a joke. He was very helpful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. He loved reading, wood crafts, scenery, music, his family and Tuffy. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. Survived by wife of 55 years, Vivian; daughter, Teresa (Art) Blackburn; sons, David Catherson and Brian (Crystal) Catherson; grandchildren, Korrina (Dan) Carty, Russell, Jacob, James, Erik and Brianne Catherson; 2 great grandchildren; and sister, Geraldine (Carol) Leggett; cousins, nieces and Tuffy the dog. Private interment at Ft. Snelling. Celebration of life at the Coon Rapids VWF July 8th, 2:00-5:00pm. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
