Almer, Norvella J. age 92 of Crystal passed away June 7, 2017. Preceded in death by husband, Jerold "Fritz"; son, David; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; parents Crawford & Edna Kingsley. Survived by daughters, Cynthia (John Dean), Melissa Almer; son Brent (Kari Mathews) Almer; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchil-dren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters-in-law. Memorial service Friday, June 16, 11 AM at First Lutheran Church of Crystal, 7708 62nd Ave N, Brooklyn Park. Private interment. Visitation Friday at church 10 AM before service. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church of Crystal and NEAR Food shelf. After graduating high school in Duluth, Norvella moved to Minneapolis where she met Fritz and the two married November 25, 1944. She was a founding member and officer of the Brooklyn Park Fire Department Auxiliary. Norvella loved to sew and was a talented china painter. She was a willing volunteer at First Lutheran Church of Crystal, a member of the prayer chain and Bible study groups. Norvella's kind, accepting and loving nature is a legacy to her friends at Calibre Chase independent living community, her church and the people she touched through her life.
