Michalski, Isabel "Peggy" Age 96. Born September 4, 1920 on a small farm outside Hammond, Wi. She remembered those 13 good years with 8 other siblings living off the land on a farm that had no electricity or running water until they moved into Hammond. She graduated from Hammond High School in 1938 and left for Minneapolis the same day with her sister Marion and brother in-law Louie. Worked various jobs most notably as a nanny for a downtown clothing store family for which she earned a nice wardrobe and went on vacations with the family. Peggy was proud to work at Twin City Arsenal during WWII having felt it was her service to our country. She saw President Roosevelt FDR as his motorcade toured the arsenal. Peggy and husband Al were married 47 years having 5 children. Peggy passed into eternity peacefully on June 1st 2017 with the Twins game on as they rallied to win the game in the 9th. She was a Twins baseball fan for decades. She will circle you Bert. Hard working, faithful mother who was the greatest example. She enjoyed good health until a few years ago and was still giving good advice a few weeks ago. Preceded in death by husband Al, son Ronald, son Joseph. Survived by daughters Bonnie (Bob) Colleen (Jim) son Gary (Lori) 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren. Peggy was cared for by granddaughter Shannon (Kyle) Van Pelt and 3 great grandchildren in their home for a year when she couldn't live independently. We are grateful. Remembrance gathering will be held Mon., June 12th at Wulff Funeral Home 2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury, MN from 5-7 PM with appetizers & desserts and a time of sharing memories at 6:30 pm.
