Michael, Jane R. J. Beloved mother and grandmother, age 90, of Bloomington (formerly of Edina), went home to be with her "Blessed Jesus" May 24, 2017. Preceded in death by her father, Herbert Frederick Jewson, Sr.; mother, Mary Amanda Graham Jewson; brother, Herbert Frederick Jewson II; sister, Eleanor Jewson Champion. Survived by loving brother, Leonard Graham Jewson (Nancy); her "treasures", daughters, Mary (Ted), Susan (Kurt) and Carol (Blake); her "perfect" grandchildren, Thomas, Geoffrey (Emily), Michael, Katie, Betsy, Matthew, John and Jack; former husband, Alfred F. Michael, father of her three daughters. Jane was a smart, funny, sassy, spicy lady who was often described as "one of a kind" and "the Lord broke the mold after he made her". She was exceedingly well read and maintained staunch personal, religious and political convictions despite her declining health. She was generous to a fault and exemplified the definition of unconditional love to all around her. Her favorites sayings of "Bloom where you are planted", "I don't look backwards, I am not going that way", "Put your shoulders back and put a smile on your face", and "there's always room for one more" were reflective of her "Go to it!" attitude. She liked to quote Winston Churchill, "Never, never, never give up!" Jane loved animals and children and had a longtime friend in the last dog she owned, Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill Michael, a Scottish Terrier who loved her and lived with her until his death at age 16. Memorial Service on Monday June 12, 2017 at 3pm, at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington Chapel, 9889 Penn Ave. S, Bloomington, MN 55431 Per Jane's request, memorials preferred to The Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington or The Humane Society of Minnesota.
