Lymangood, Charles G. 61, of Corcoran. Born 7.22.55 in Oak Park, IL to William R. & Lorraine Lymangood. Chuck was a child model who appear-ed in Montgomery Ward Christmas Catalog. He was a 1973 Graduate of Naperville Central HS (lettered in wrestling), 1977 Cum Laude Graduate SIU (dbl. majors Religious Studies & Psychology with minor in Classical Studies), 1982 Graduate of Luther-NW Seminary (MA), as well as VISTA volunteer (1977-78) with Legal Aid Society, Topeka, KS. Chuck joined Smith Barney in Feb. 1983, left MS in 2013 to join Wells Fargo Advisors. He was elected to the Plymouth City Council where he negotiated for the trail around Medicine Lake, Life Time Fitness in Plymouth, the second gym at Robbinsdale HS, Open Space and Trails referendum, rezoned downtown Plymouth, led negotiations for Wayzata HS coming to Plymouth and supported phosphorus free fertilizer (which became state law). Chuck moved to Corcoran in 1998, where he was elected to the Corcoran City Council; he won two open meeting law Dept. of Administration Opinions. Chuck loved gardening, growing lilacs from seed and spruce from seedlings. He enjoyed family vacations, going to Maui with Karen (where he owned a condo for three years), attending Vikings home games, driving fast in his Solstice (but no tickets), attending Star Trek movies on opening day, exercising and lifting weights. Chuck married Karen Nordeen on 8.19.78; they have been happily and continuously married ever since. Chuck is survived by wife, Karen; sons, Charles and Carl; daughters-in-law, Amanda and Jennifer; grandsons, Caiden, Bennett and Henry; granddaughter, Hannah; brother, William Jr. Funeral 11 AM Sat., with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM, at Hope Community Church, 19951 Oswald Farm Rd., Corcoran.
