Swanson, Marlene Dolores 78 of Brooklyn Park passed away on May 15th, 2017. Marlene was born in Mankato, Minnesota on September 18th, 1938 to Dolores Hottman and Martin Sigvaldson. Marlene worked for the Department of Public Safety for 35 years. She became the Director of Driver and Vehicle Services. Marlene was vital to her family, and enjoyed spending time with them. She had a passion for life; always with a smile on her face, and a dance in her step. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Dennis Swanson; her two sons, Elliot Raj and Anthony Raj; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grand-children. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church (499 Wacouta St. St. Paul 55101) Monday, May 22nd at 3pm.
