Barron, Frank K. Age 93, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 from cancer. Preceded in death by wife Josephine, parents Guadalupe and Paula (Herrera) Barron, daughter Toni, brothers Guadalupe, Adolph, Albert and Ruben, and sister Gloria. Survived by daughters Paula Barron and Deborah (Tony) Brozek, grandchildren Henry (Krissi) Monroe, Rosa (Chris) Monroe Johnson, Josephine (Blake) Monroe, 4 great-grandchildren, brother Kenneth, sister Susie and many nieces and nephews. Frank was born on December 4, 1923 in Pittsburgh, OK. He joined the Army Air Corps on December 4, 1941 with service in WWII where he served in the 464th Army Air Force for four years with an honorable discharge and many service medals. In 1952, he moved to Minneapolis, MN where he met his wife Josephine. They married and started a family in North Minneapolis. Frank worked as a Machinist until retirement at Capital Gears in St. Paul, MN. His hobbies included: reading, watching sports- especially boxing, cooking for his family, playing scratch-offs, the lotto and going to the casino. He will be greatly missed. Memorial Mass on Friday, June 2nd at 11:30 am at Church of the Ascension, 1723 Bryant Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN 55411, visitation one hour prior to Mass, burial at Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope, lunch to follow services at 2 pm back at church cafeteria.
