Iverson, Joanne (Swenson) A former resident of Wayzata, died Monday April 17th, 2017 in St. Louis, MO. Born in 1937 in Minneapolis, Joanne received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Education from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1959. Joanne worked as a Business Teacher at Wayzata High School and later in St. Louis, as an Executive Assistant at Monsanto and Solutia Corporations until she retired. Joanne loved being a mother and was an excellent hostess. She enjoyed playing bridge, hosting dinner parties and attending plays and concerts. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary in 1981. She is survived by two daughters, Christine and Betsy. Joanne was a proud grandmother to Charlie and Katy and is survived by: her companion, Harold Gardner; sister Marilyn Richter; brother-in-law Jim Richter; and niece and nephew Stacy Secker and Jeff Richter; as well as many other relatives. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are preferred to a charity of your choice or the Circle of Concern Food Pantry in Valley Park, MO. Memorial Service 11 am Friday, May 12 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 115 W. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, MN. Visit with the family beginning at 10 am. Private Internment.
