Andresen, Harvey "Swede" Age 91 of Bloomington passed away peacefully on April 12, 2017. Preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Christine; wife, Carole; sister, Irene (James) Scatliff. Survived by children, Christine Brown and Clifford Andresen; grandson, Henry Brown; nieces, Julia (Brian) O'Grady and Amy Scatliff; other relatives and friends. Harvey grew up in south Mpls and graduated from Central H.S. He served his country in WWII in the 15th Army Air Force stationed in Fogia, Italy. He was a waist gunner on a B-24 and flew 22 missions. Upon discharge, he returned home to Mpls. He worked for 36 years at Minneapolis Gas Co. Harvey had a love sports since childhood, and loved to compete. He played fast pitch softball for many years. After retiring in 1985, he joined the "Born Again Jocks" in Bloomington where he played slow pitch softball, volleyball and golf for close to 20 years. He was lifelong fan of the MN Gophers, and all the MN professional sports teams. Memorial Service Friday, May 19th, 11:00 am at Cremation Society of MN, 4343 Nicollet Ave. South, Mpls. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Ft. Snelling. Memorials preferred to the Down Syndrome Assoc. of MN or Born Again Jocks.
