Schmitt, Jeanne Pat born October 27, 1929 to Walter and Esther Robb in Minneapolis, MN, passed away March 5, 2017 at home in Excelsior, MN. She grew up in Minneapolis in the winter and on the St. Croix River in the summer, graduated from University High School and the University of Minnesota where she was an active member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and where she met her future husband Robert. She leaves behind four children Tom (Laura), Peggy, Laurie and Doug (Ellen), eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mom had great zest for life; she loved singing, dancing and all kinds of music, boating, tennis, travelling, entertaining, baking cookies, Christmas, the St. Croix River, Lake Minnetonka and her many, treasured friends. She loved being a daughter, a wife, a mom, a sister, and a friend; she loved people and people loved her. She especially loved her family and was never happier than when she was surrounded by loved ones. But she loved Jesus best of all and her joyful, exuberant life glorified Him in every way. Over the course of her life mom was a member of many clubs, associations, volunteer organizations and churches, all of which provided countless friends and opportunities to serve others, to learn and to have fun. Our family will be forever grateful for the many wonderful friends, helpers, musicians, therapists and Home Health Aides who lovingly cared for mom for the last ten years. A memorial service will be held on Friday 3/31/17, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2060 County Rd. 6, Long Lake, MN, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation 1 hour prior, to celebrate mom and her remarkable life. Donations in Jeanne's memory may be made to Minneapolis Junior League-Leaguaire's. Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996
