Erickson, Charles "Chuck" J. age 85, of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2017, after living with Alzheimer's for 15 years. He was born on December 13, 1931 to Frank and Mabel Erickson in St. Paul. Chuck graduated from Wilson High School in 1950 and went on to study plumb- ing. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1952 and served during the Korean War. Back in the U.S., he met Patricia Huffman. They married on May 23, 1959 at the Summit Farrington House in St. Paul. They first settled in Roseville and moved to Forest Lake in 1970. Chuck became a Master Plumber and continued working with the family business, Frank E. Erickson & Sons Plumbing and Heating. Chuck was a devoted follower of Christ. He supported several Christian organizations. He was a voracious reader with a lifelong love of learning. He was also a skilled craftsman and enjoyed mechanical tinkering with trucks and small engines. Chuck loved classical music, animals, and most of all, his family. He adored playing and praying with his grandchildren, sharing stories with his daughters, and antiquing with Patty. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Vernice Hill, Mildred Anderson, and Roger. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Pat; daughters, Sue (Dan) Miller, Laurie (Trent) Linden, Beth (Mark) Pierce; grandchildren, Madison, Lauren, Sam, Emily; sister, Virginia (Donald) McGillivray; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 24, 2017 at Crossroads Covenant Church, 17445 Notre Dame St., Forest Lake. Visitation 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Covenant Church.
