Shuck, Virgil DeWitt 1/3/1916 - 1/10/2017 DeWitt Shuck passed on January 10 at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, CA with family at his side. He was 101. DeWitt was a child of the Depression and a WWII veteran who became CFO of Fortune 500 company Hoerner Waldorf, but he and his late wife, Carolyn, are best remembered in Minneapolis for their charitable work with First Trust Company of St. Paul, Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, Miller Hospital, Boy Scouts of America, United Fund, and Northstar Research and Development. He was a devoted father, husband, and friend and is survived by children John, Ted, and Ellen, seven grand and step-grandchildren, and countless friends and colleagues.
