DeGidio, Raymond M. "Ray" "Bo" Age 80 a longtime resident of N.E. Mpls. passed away March 7, 2017 after a year and a half battle with Mesotheli-oma. Preceded in death by parents Viola and Sam; his first wife Jean; daugther Mary. Survived by loving wife Dixie; son Roy (Cindy), 5 grandchildren Amanda (Jim), Dillon (Stella), Cassandra, Catelyn (Allen), and Jessica; 16 great grandchildren; sisters Dinah Briggs and Dorothy (Jim) Montury; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Ray graduated from Marshall High School in 1955; worked briefly for the Great Northern Railroad and as a truck driver for Hennepin County for 35 years, retiring at age 58. Ray loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, sports, a good card game and taking care of his immaculate lawn. Family wishes to thank the Health Partners Home Hospice staff for their compassionate care, especially Anne, Lorna, Krista and Anita. Also, family wishes to express a very heart-felt thank you to Deacon Najarian for the special blessings and spiritual comfort he provided to Ray and his family during this difficult time. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Research Hospital or donor's choice. Visitation Monday, 5:00-8:00 PM at Washburn-McReavy, Northeast Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday 11:00 AM in the Church of St. Charles Borromeo, 2739 Stinson Blvd., St. Anthony. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Visitation also one hour prior to Mass at church.
