Kenealey, George M., Sr. age 85, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2017 surrounded by the love of his wife and children after a long fruitful life. George was a 1950 graduate of DeLaSalle High School and a veteran of the Marine Corps where he proudly served his county in the Korean War. He continued his education at St. Thomas College (1956 graduate) and Georgetown University Law School (1959 graduate). George practiced law in Minneapolis until his retirement in 2010. He had a great passion for law and proudly served as an attorney for the Knights of Columbus in Bloomington, The American Legion in Richfield, and the VFWs in Richfield and Bloomington, among other treasured clients. George and his family loved spending time at the family cabin on Straight Lake in Osage, MN where he enjoyed attempting to catch walleyes. Preceded in death by parents, George and Alis; and brothers John and Gerald. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Beverly; children, Michael (Marilyn) Kenealey, Kathy (Kenneth) Brisiel and Kevin (Andrea) Kenealey; and 4 grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church 6730 Nicollet Ave S Richfield, MN. Visitation Wednesday 5-8 PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Home 9947 Lyndale Ave S Bloomington, MN and one hour prior to mass at Church. Interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
