Fleming, David James Moon Born September 30, 1988, at University Hospital in Minneapolis to Kenyan parents who were students at the University. He was adopted by Bonnie Fleming and James Moon on April 6, 1989. He attended Breck School, and after a few rough years enrolled in Richmond University, the American International University in London, where he was majoring in International Relations. He would have graduated next December, and hoped to work for the United Nations. He died accidentally at home in Minneapolis on June 11, 2014. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie, his brother Mark Fleming, his best friend George Newton of Lakeville, MN and Los Angeles, CA, his grandfather Nils Fleming, Jr. of Sun Lakes, AZ, his uncle Nils III, aunt Patricia, and cousins Kathryn, Nikolas, and Robert, all of the Twin Cities, his uncle Steven Moon, friend Sara Fore of Flagstaff, AZ, and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his father James Moon, special friend Bob Lien, grandmother Dorothy Fleming, grandparents Richard and Rosemary Moon, and uncle Richard Moon, Jr. David's ashes will be scattered on the island in Saganaga Lake where they always ate their shore lunch while fishing and where his father's ashes were also scattered. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Adoption and Family Services, Oak Park Heights, MN.
