Schreiber, Dr. Boyd J. Age 71, of Deephaven, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2017, surrounded by his wife and children. Boyd grew up in Crystal, obtained his doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Minnesota, served in the Vietnam War, and practiced family dentistry in Wayzata for over 43 years before his retirement. Boyd was known for his delightful sense of humor, unwavering kindness, strong faith in Christ, adventurous spirit, passion for skiing, and his uncompromising love for family and friends. Boyd is survived by wife Karen; daughters Keri (Britt) Singleton and Lindsey (Noah) Hansen; sons Brent (Kimberly) Schreiber and Blake Schreiber; grandchildren Emma, Geneva, Jackson, and Maddox Singleton, Clara Schreiber, and Charlotte Hansen; mother Elaine; sister Gail (Paul) Becker; and many other family members and close friends (his "extended family"). Boyd was preceded in death by his father, Werner ("Bill"). Memorial Service 10:30 AM Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Wayzata Community Church, reception immediately to follow. Memorials preferred to Fairview Hospice or Wayzata Community Church.
