Keith J. Manthie

Manthie, Keith J. Age 69, of Mpls., passed away on February 23, 2017. Preceded in death by parents Eleanor and Walter, and brother, Wade. Keith was a wonderful father, grandparent, friend, fisherman, neighbor, and Minneapolitan. After graduating from Roosevelt high school and the U of MN, Keith joined the Peace Corps and volunteered in Peru. Following his service, Keith worked at Piper Jaffray and Commercial Furniture Services before pursuing his passion by volunteering for over 10 years at the U of MN archaeology lab. Active in numerous community organizations over the years, Keith is remembered as a loyal and caring friend that was focused on his family. He is survived by his family; Martha, Kevin (Casey), Steven (Robin), and his grandchildren; Harriet and Maggie. Funeral service Friday, March 3rd at 11am, Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. S., Mpls., with visitation from 10am to 11am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the MN Archeological Society or Mt. Olivet Church.
