Bettye J. (Ladd) Lamont

Lamont, Bettye J. (Ladd) age 93 of St. Therese in New Hope, formerly of Edina. Bettye was born in Haskell, Oklahoma on December 12th, 1923 and passed away on February 10th, 2017. Bettye was the youngest of nine children, and was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Lamont (Jack); her parents Eugene and Bessie Ladd, and eight siblings. Bettye was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Bettye assisted in the war effort during WWII, worked as an assistant to the president of a bank in Wichita, Kansas, was a church organist, an accomplished pianist, and was an exceptional cook with a Southern flair! Survived by daughter Janine McQuillan, grandsons Curran and Ryan; son Kent Ladd Lamont; son-in-law Michael McQuillan, and many friends. The family thanks St. Therese of New Hope for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Therese of New Hope, Therapeutic Recreation Department. Two Visitations: Friday, February 24th, 5-7 p.m. at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 7300 42nd Ave. North, New Hope and on Saturday, February 25th 11-1:00 p.m. at the Gill Brothers Funeral Home at 9947 Lyndale Ave. So.
