Abramson, Kevin Michael Age 46, of Plymouth, MN. Passed away suddenly and tragically on February 11th, while enjoying life, vacationing on the beach in Cancun, Mexico. While we mourn the untimely loss of a dedicated father, beloved son, brother and family member, talented digital marketer and supportive team leader, we also celebrate his life which he lived to the fullest until the very end. Kevin was an adoring, proud father of Jacob (age 15) and twins Adam and Annie (age 12) and made it his life's joy and priority to attend and share in everything they were a part of; not missing a single event. An active supporter of Wayzata Youth Hockey, Kevin passed along to them his love for sports, (especially Hockey), his love for travel, and many thoughtful words of wisdom that will benefit them and many others for years to come. A 1989 graduate of Edina High School, and the University of Minnesota, Magna Cum Laude, and a member of PHI BETA KAPPA Honor Society. As Vice President - Web Strategy and Social Media at Optum, Kevin touched the lives and careers of all those around him and throughout the organization, and will leave an indelible mark on the culture there. Described as a "servant leader" internally, Kevin is credited for a vast array of tangible contributions that recently includes leading the team that produced and launched Optum's award winning website. Kevin is survived by his three children, their mother, Nina (Kip) Gruell, loving parents, Charles "Chuck" and Elaine "Cookie" Abramson, brother, Jeffrey (Mindy) Abramson, nephews Daniel and Jordan Abramson, adored by loving girlfriend Betsy Houser and her children (Liam, Lauren, and Lucas) and many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.
