Endersbe, Lois (McDonald) age 80, peacefully passed away in her sleep after a nine- year battle with the Alzheimer's disease. She was born on February 3, 1936, to Leo & Helen McDonald in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Bill & Bob. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bob; children, Thomas (Lisa), Mick (Beth), Mary (Lyndon), Scott (Brenda), and her sister Mary Helen (Art) of Branson, MO; sisters-in-law Deanna and Kathy; 13 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She graduated from Alta High School in 1954 with her husband, Bob, and received a teaching degree from Buena Vista College, Storm Lake, Iowa, in 1956, and at age 19 had her first full-time teaching job. She taught in Marathon, Storm Lake, Danbury, Rockwell City in Iowa and Rochester, New Ulm, and Farmington in Minnesota. She took time off from teaching to raise her family, but returned to the classroom on and off for 30 years. Lois devoted her life to her family, who turned to her often for her love and strong counsel. She greeted everyone with the same wonderful smile, kind words and a listening ear. Lois and husband, Bob, wintered in Las Vegas and Palm Desert; CA, for many years after retirement. Many summers were spent at the lake cabin in Wisconsin. She made friends with everyone she met, including the workers and residents of Brookdale of Eagan, Dementia Alzheimer's Center, where she resided for the past 14 months. Her family, nieces, nephews, and friends will continue to count the many blessings she brought to their lives. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Thomas Becket Catholic Church, 4455 S. Robert Tr., Eagan, with visitation 5-8 PM Thursday (2/2) at White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Tr., (Co. Rd. 50) Lakeville (952-469-2723) and one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Inver Grove Heights. Memorials may be given to donor's choice in Lois's name. Condolences: whitefuneralhomes.com
