West, Maribee (McGinn) Maribee died peacefully Saturday, January 28 in her Edina home, surrounded by family. She was 84. Born in St. Paul, MN in 1932 to Beatrice and Edward McGinn, she was the eldest of 6 children. She received her teaching degree from Macalester College and taught at Groveland Park Elementary. Maribee loved gardening, bird watching and spending time at the lake. Bright, generous, engaging and quick with a witty quip, she frequently entertained her many friends and family members in her beautiful Edina home. Maribee and her husband, Keith raised 5 children in Edina where she was actively involved in their schools and activities, as well as, the Edina Country Club, charitable events, and her many social groups. But most important to Maribee was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of more than 63 years, Keith West, and her five children; Kellie West, Julie West Matibag, Jim West, Katie West Bassett, and Jennifer West Graham. Maribee was devoted to her 10 grandchildren; Ashley and Courtney West, Marcus and Joey Matibag, Patrick and Philippa West, Michael and Billy Bassett, Meghan and Ricky Graham.
