Anderson, Richard D. born July 20, 1931 passed away peacefully January 20th, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was a longtime resident of St. Louis Park. Survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Pat; children, Nancy and Mark Yaeger, Gregg and Sue Anderson and Alissa and Robert Baer; much loved grandchildren, Joe, Andy, and Mike Yaeger, Kirsten and Mitch Migler, Katey and Jeff Kask, Andrew, Jake, Alec and Chloe Baer; adored great-grandchildren, Charli, Georgi, Lucy, Anderson and Grady; dear brother, Harry Anderson, and best friends, Tom and Marilyn Abernathy. Dick was a proud veteran and graduate of the U of M where he lettered in tennis and drummed for the dance band. Besides being a friend to all, his passions were putzing at the cabin surrounded by his family, Pat's rhubarb pie, annual trips up north with the Tofte 8 and washing his cars and Craftsman lawn-mower. He spent many enjoyable hours coaching and cheering for his kids and grandkids. Funeral Service 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 25th at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel. Visitation one hour prior. In honor of Dick, a donation and prayers are welcome for baby Henry, a "fighter" just like him. "Hope for Henry Dolan." Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996 West 50th St. & Hwy 100
