Brown, Kathryn L. (Swedenborg) Born March 25, 1918, died January 17, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, Nann and Gustav Swedenborg and brothers Paul and Conrad Swedenborg. A loving mother, sister, artist and great friend, Kay was always busy. She had a passion for all things Victorian and collected many beautiful antiques and vintage clothing. She was especially talented at decorating inside and out; changing decor in her lovely home for each season. She was an active volunteer for the Bloomington YWCA coordinating tours and events. At sixty she began oil painting and had an artist teach a class for neighbors in her home. She leaves dozens of wonderful pieces to her family. She is survived by sisters Ruth (Ed) Armes and Marcia Reed of CA and brothers Jim (Marty) Swedenborg and Rex (Judy) Swedenborg of Minneapolis. Her children, Judy Brown-Wescott of Northfield, Gerry (Lynda) Brown of Maple Plain and Susan (Ray) Johnson of Bloomington were lucky enough to have Mom in their lives for nearly 99 years and mourn her loss. She is also survived by grandchildren Brian and Bradwin Baker, Heather (Steve) Wilkens, Ben (Sarah), Eric (Kristin), Mike and Charlie Johnson and great-granddaughters Brynn Wilkens, Annelise and Lena Johnson.
