Olson, Neil Harry Age 85 of Blaine, formerly of New Brighton & Sturgeon Lake, MN and Fort Meade, FL, passed away peacefully January 13, 2017. Born in Mpls. to Lawrence and Sadie. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Vera; 5 children, Nancy Blaido, Vicki Fell, Bryan (Julie) Olson, Gregg (Shelly) Olson and Mary Jo (Bob) Janousek; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grand-children; siblings, Enola (Jerry) Rosencrantz and Larry (Pam) Olson; and many extended family. Preceded in death by daughter, Kathy Ostrowski; parents, and siblings, Allen, Richard, Glenn and Wallace (infant). Neil graduated from Edison HS in 1949. He married Vera Mae Albro May 10, 1952. He proudly served in the Army in Fort Bliss, TX 1952-1954. He retired from Honeywell after 35 years. Neil's greatest joy in his life was his family and will always be remembered for his integrity, compassion, kindness, generosity, persistence and unconditional love. Memorial service 11 AM Saturday, January 21, with visitation 1 hour prior at Glen Cary Lutheran Church, 15531 Central Ave NE, Ham Lake. Private interment. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
