Leila '(Lee)' Widstrom

Widstrom, Leila (Lee) age 96 of Maplewood, passed away January 12. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell. Lee was born and raised in Ortonville, MN. She and Russ lived in Osakis and Robbinsdale MN and Port Charlotte, FL. Lee was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt, and friend. She was a consummate hostess and loved feeding friends and family. She spent her nearly 30 year career as lead secretary at Robbinsdale High School. Lee is survived by two daughters Susie Gamelin (Tim) and Donna Dunn (Nancy Beckes), six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff of The Homestead at Maplewood who provided excellent care in Lee's last year. A celebration of her life will be held at the Robbinsdale United Church of Christ, 4200 Lake Road, Robbinsdale, Wednesday, January 18, 11 AM. Much to her delight, Lee's ashes soon will move in with Russ at the National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL. Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
