Johnson, Robert B. Age 89, of Edina, passed away January 16, 2017. Preceded in death by parents George and Florence Johnson and infant son Jeffrey. Survived by loving wife of 67 years Lorraine; children Barb (Dave) Nungesser, Annette (Steven) Anderson, Scott (Kristen), and Brent; grandchildren Matt, Dan and Rachel Nungesser, Michelle and Sara Anderson, Jackie and Tucker Johnson; brothers Lavern (Phyllis) and Willis (Jean); and sister-in-law Marie (Admiral) Reid. Bob grew up in Eagle Bend, Minnesota. Upon graduating from high school, he served in the Navy during WWII. Bob graduated from the University of Minnesota in Business, and worked for IDS (Investors Diversified Services which was a predecessor to Ameriprise) for 36 years in the investment department, and retired as Vice President of Investment Services. For almost 50 years, Bob and Lorraine loved spending time and entertaining at their cabin on Cedar Lake in Annandale, Minnesota, and upon retirement spent winters in Green Valley, Arizona. Bob loved to GOLF, fish and hunt and especially enjoyed time with family and friends at the lake. He cherished many lifelong friendships, made new friends wherever he went, and was always supportive of family and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose life he touched. He was a great husband, dad and grandpa. Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21, at 11:00 am at Colonial Church, 6200 Colonial Way, Edina, Minnesota 55436. 10:00 am visitation.
