Sanders, The Reverend James F. Age 67, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 29, 2016 after a long battle with Pompe Disease. Preceded in death parents, The Rev. Harold Sr. and Hazel; brother, Mark; sister-in-law, Diane. Survived by loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Jo Ann and cherished daughters, Laurel (Tyler) Putman, Rebecca (Brent) Schott, Sarah (Ken) Madsen, Anna (Dan) Schetinski; grandchildren, Levi, Chloe, Elsa, Libby, Trevin, Jack; 2 sisters; 5 brothers; faithful companion, Jester and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jim was called by the Lord to become a pastor, dedicating the majority of his ministry to Oliver Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis. He was later led into executive ministry as Executive Presbyter of Prospect Hills Presbytery in Iowa. He will be remembered for his creativity and woodworking, his welcoming and comforting manner and most fondly as a devoted family man and friend. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 10th at 1pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1200 Marquette Avenue, Minneapolis with a visitation beginning at 11:30am.
