Sendecky, Thomas J. age 91, of Minneapolis, MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Tom was born on September 18, 1925 in Minneapolis to Mike & Anna Sendecky. He married his wife, Lorraine, on October 3, 1952, after which they made their home in South Minneapolis along with their children. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Anna Sendecky and Lorraine Renz; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Viola Sendecky; and mother and father-in-law, Alma and Gust Mannberg. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lorraine; children, Linda (Brian) Gensmer of NV; Lisa (John) Christenson of MN; and Tom Sendecky of MN; his three grandchildren, Matt (Alicia) Lobdell; Calie (Brian) Ries; and Catie (Jake) Schurman; and his seven great-grandchildren. Tom had a life long career operating a cement construction business building homes throughout the western Twin Cities suburbs. After retiring, Tom enjoyed his time at the family cabin on Pomme de Terre Lake in Elbow Lake, MN A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 3rd at Lakewood Chapel, Lakewood Cemetery (3600 Hennepin Ave. S; Minneapolis) with a reviewal 1/2 hour prior to service. Interment at Lakewood to follow the service.
