Steve Vevea

Vevea, Steve of Elk River passed away on 11/20 at the age of 67 after a 12-year fight with cancer. Graduate of Anoka High ('67) and SCSU. Veteran of US Army. Taught math for 35 years in ISD 728. Survived by wife Carol; sons Nathan, Jacob (Melissa) and Zach (Lynn); grandchildren Drew and Felicia; sisters Paula (John) Guy, Cathy (Paul) Juenemann; brothers Mike (Mary) and Tom (Doreen); many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Donald and Marjorie Vevea. Special thanks to the care teams at the Mayo Clinic and U of M Medical Facilities for exceptional care and support. Memorial Service on 12/3 at Elk River Lutheran Church, 729 Main St. NW, Elk River. Visitation noon to 2pm, service at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Sandra J. Schulze Hope Lodge at 411 2nd St. NW, Rochester, MN 55901.
