Swanson, DeLena age 80, of Apple Valley, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 21, 2016. DeLena was born and raised in Grand Island, NE., A 1955 graduate of Doane University in Crete, NE. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Irene Schroeder, and brother, LeRoy (Dorla) Schroeder. DeLena was a devoted wife of 60 years to, Douglas, and a loving mother to Randy, Jeff (Cheryl), Greg (Nancy) Swanson, and Terri (Mark) Wyzykowski; a proud grandma to, Daniel, Ryan, Michael, Matthew, Nick, and Alex; brother-in-law, Vern (Marilyn) Swanson. Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the White Funeral Home Chapel, 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley (952-432-2001), with a visitation 2 hrs. prior to service.
