McCue, Thomas Ryan 25, son of Ki and Mark McCue and brother of Dan McCue, lost his life September 24, 2016, at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chicago, IL. He suffered a traumatic brain injury from the result of a fall. Tom, Tommy, Tommy Boy (a family favorite), McCue, McQT, T-Man, Al, and the list goes on Tom lived a full life surrounded by an army of family, friends and coworkers who loved and respected him. Tom made his grand entrance into this world on a sunny Monday on July 29, 1991. He was your average boy who spent countless hours perfecting his slapshot, collecting a sea of toy cars, and causing typical neighborhood trouble with his red getaway bicycle. Tom showed dedication and perseverance in every aspect of his life, whether it be school, sports, or friendships, he was bound to leave his mark. And his mark is what he left. He had a smile that would light up the room and a chuckle that tickled your ears. Tom worked his tail off at the University of Iowa to pursue his dream in finance. He had his fair share of distractions, but quickly learned the art of being a college student. He joined Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and had the honor of meeting several friends he would spend the next 6 years with making memories. He graduated in May 2015 with a B.B.A. in Finance and quickly worked on pursuing his next dream of moving to Chicago. Six short months later, he announc-ed he had taken a position with FactSet and would be moving to the windy city. Tom never stopped going and there is no doubt he was the hardest working employee at his office. Hard work never stopped him from having fun though because every coworker has a memory of that signature smile and chuckle. Of all the things Tom was, he was humble. His adult hobbies included: record-breaking brief phone calls with his parents and brother, living a minimalistic life in Chicago, eating Chipotle more than the average human being, spitting out quotes from his favorites: Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm or Tommy Boy, and spending every chance he could get on the lake back home. It didn't take much to make Tom happy, but he was in fact, happy. For the days we struggle. For the days we search for answers. We just need to listen. Because we can hear you loud and clear from Heaven, buddy "I got this". Tom is preceded in death by his grandparents Jerry & Donna McCue, Gene & Kay Neitge, his Aunt Margie Vossen and Uncle Mike McCue. He is survived by his loving parents Mark & Ki McCue and his admired brother Dan (Dan's fiancé Ashley and furry nephew Winston). Tom was loved by so many and will forever touch the hearts of his aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as, friends and coworkers. A Celebration of Life will be held for Tom at 11:00am on Friday, October 7th at Wooddale Church, 6630 Shady Oak Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with a luncheon following. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to: Hopkins Youth Hockey Association - Scholarship Fund, P.O.
