Lukecart, James 84-year-old resident of Onamia, MN passed away on September 29, 2016, at the Saint Cloud VA Health Care System. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Onamia, MN with Pastor John Lundberg officiating. Gathering of family and friends 1/2 hr. prior to service at church. Interment will be in Foster Cemetery. Military Honors provided by the Onamia Area Veterans. Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia. James "Jim" Lukecart was born on September 12, 1932, in Sloan, Iowa to Roy and Elvira (Griffith) Lukecart. He was united in marriage to Joanne Siebenaler on September 20, 1958, in Hennepin County, MN. Jim served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was the former Commander of the Onamia American Legion Post and was currently a member. Jim was very funny and was a wonderful storyteller. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and every heart that he touched. James "Jim" Lukecart is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne; sons, Mike (Cindy) Lukecart, Tom (Cindy) Lukecart; daughter, Pamela Jack- son; sister, Mary Grothe; grandchildren, William, Nick (Jenna), Ben, Krista, and Thomas; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Don, and Dick; sisters, Hope, and Barb; and his Saint Bernard, Jen.
