Heimbach, Rita Elizabeth Age 74, of Orono, passed away peacefully in the physical and spiritual presence of her husband and children on July 28, 2016. Rita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who enriched the lives of those who knew her. For over 50 years she shared a beautiful friendship and unconditional love with her husband Ken. She was a giving and caring person and will be remembered for her gentle kindness, intelligence, witty sense of humor, and love for reading, gardening, sunsets on Marco Island, and traveling with friends. Most importantly she cherished family gatherings at the lake, long conversations around the dinner table, holidays, and spending those many precious moments with her grandchildren. Rita was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Those left here to honor her life are her husband Ken; four children, Kristin (Brian) Bunkenburg, Maureen (Mike) Miller, Ken (Amy) Heimbach, and Jennie (Craig) Kaiser; and twelve grandchildren; Molly, Jack, Matt, and Meg Bunkenburg; Michael, Danny, and Clare Miller; Colin, Caroline, and Lilly Heimbach; and Emily and Ryan Kaiser. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am, Wednesday, August 3, at the Church of St. Bartholomew (630 Wayzata Blvd E, Wayzata). Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to charities of your choice.
