Curry, John G. age 94, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully July 25, 2016. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Margaret; parents, William and Leona; brothers, Allan and Robert; sister, Helen Pearson; and son-in-law Gary Kurschner. John is survived by his wife of 16 years, Helen; sons, John Jr. (Mary Lou) and Richard (Sandy); daughter, Dianne Kurschner; grandchildren, Shannon Meyer (Bill), Sean Curry, Jason Curry (Quincy), Christopher Curry (Alexandria), Ryan Curry (Liz), Adam Kurschner (Alison), Jill Trammell (Joel); 15 great grandchildren; loving members of the Erbes family; and many other relatives and friends. John was a graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland and served as a lieutenant in the Navy at the end of WWII and the Korean Conflict. John worked for more than 30 years at Minneapolis Honeywell as an electrical engineer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend; always ready with a smile to lend a helping hand to anyone. John loved flying, hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, and getting together often with family and friends. A memorial service and celebration of John's life will be held Saturday, August 6 at 11:00AM at Friendship Village, 8100 Highwood Drive, Bloomington, MN with a luncheon to follow.
