Wendland, Louise W. age 94, of Chanhassen, formerly of Edina, passed away July 24, 2016. Preceded in death by husband, Dr. John P. in 1977; brother, Howard Winholtz and sister, Virginia Watts. Survived by children, Nancy (Brian) Anderson and Stan (Kathleen); 7 grandchildren, Krista Anderson, Nathan Anderson, Dr. Erik (Lacey) Wendland, Kjerstin (Noel) Quinn, Nicholas (Heidi R.) Wendland, Linnea (Dustin) Elbing, Heidi M. Wendland; 11 great-grandchildren, Henrik, Reider, Oskar, Aine, Gunnar, Colette, Freya, Saoirse, Haakon, Alfred, Rosemary; 7 nieces and nephews. Memorials preferred to Samaritan's Purse. The family would like to thank Optage Hospice, Home Care Solutions and Summerwood Home in Chanhassen for their loving care. Adventurous and independent, Louise was equally as content traveling the world as she was sitting at home reading or working on her creative projects. But above all, she was devoted to her family, full of adoration and love for us all. She will be missed, loved, and in our hearts forever. Interment Dawn Valley Cemetery. Funeral service 10 AM Monday, Aug. 1, with visitation one hour prior to service at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church, 3450 Irving Ave S., Mpls.
