Frederick, Mary "Monica" (nee Huber) of Excelsior. Our dear mother went home to our Lord on April 14, 2014. She was surrounded by her family as she passed away from cancer. Our mom was filled with laughter and joy, and a love of art and music. She mastered use of a computer, iPad and cell phone adeptly at the age of 84 years. A most beautiful woman, who was equally logical, empathetic and kind. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Monica Huber; beloved sister, Margaret and her 2 brothers, Pat and Jack. She is survived by her family: husband, John Joseph, married for 63 years; sons, Joseph (Therese), Daniel (Mary), Patrick (Beth), Jerome, John (Jane) and daughters, Mary and Anne (Michael); 21 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Sally Patnaude, Suzy McCarthy, and Mary Jo (Tom) Fulkerson; nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 680 Mill St., Excelsior (952-474-8868). Visitation also Tuesday one hour prior to Mass at the church. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent to St. John the Baptist School.
