Isaacson, Daniel A. age 67, of Burnsville, passed away on April 12, 2014 surrounded by his loyal partner, Orville Gehrke and his loving family and many friends, at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester. Daniel graduated from Dassel High School in 1965, and Gustavus Adolphus College in 1969, after graduation he taught 4th grade at Southview Elementary in Apple Valley for 29 years. After his retirement from teaching he went to work for Nordstrom's. Daniel had a passion for learning, gardening, volunteering, playing cards and most of all helping people. He was very active in his church community, and enjoyed traveling throughout the world. He also enjoyed spending time and supporting his family and friends. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mabel Isaacson. He is survived by his partner of 18 years, Orville Gehrke; and Orville's 3 adult children and their spouses; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held on 11 AM Monday, April 21, 2014 at Christus Victor Church, 7510 Palomino Dr., Apple Valley, with visitation from 5-8 PM Sunday (4/20) at the White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave S., Burnsville (952 894 5080) and 1 hr. prior to service at Church.
