Nancy K. Meyer

Meyer, Nancy Karlen Of Edina, passed away peacefully Feb. 11, 2014, surrounded by loving family. Born May 3, 1923 in Winona, MN. Graduated from the University of MN with a B.B.A. in Accounting. Nancy became a CPA and held positions as the Director of Finance for the U of MN Medical School Dept. of Family Practice, Director of Finance for the U of MN Foundation and U of M Alumni Association, and spent the last ten years of her career as Executive Director of Emergency Physicians Professional Assoc. Nancy served as a member of the Service Corps of Retired Executives, was a past president of the Edina Women's Club, was active with the Minneapolis Woman's Club and was a board member at the 7500 York senior living community. Preceded in death by daughter, Virginia Ballweg. Survived by husband, Lloyd; brother, Theodore Schroeder; daughter, Carolyn (Dave) Gundersen; granddaughters, Kelly and Carrie Gundersen. Visitation 10 AM, Memorial service 11 AM Tuesday, Feb. 18 at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina MN 55435. Private interment Fort Snelling Cemetery. Memorials in Nancy’s name may be sent to the funeral home.
