Maas, Anna Katherine "Kathy" Meyers of Woodbury, Minnesota, died on May 19, 2016 at United Hospital in Saint Paul. Born in Mason City, Iowa, on May 28, 1946, Kathy graduated from Mason City High School in 1964. Married to Richard Maas in 1977 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa, Kathy and Dick shared a blended family of three sons and one daughter. Kathy was a gifted, award-winning watercolor artist. She and Dick made a home together in the Twin Cities, North Dakota, Florida and Georgia before moving back to Woodbury five years ago to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Kathy and Dick traveled to Hawaii and Europe and enjoyed cruising the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. Known for her generous spirit, infinite patience and infectious smile, Kathy will be much missed by her husband, Richard "Dick" Maas, her sons, Craig Cooper, Chad Cooper and Gregory Maas, and daughter, Michele Nozzarella, six grandchildren, sister, three brothers, and numerous other relatives and friends. A memorial service for Kathy will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at SouthCross Community Church, 1800 E. County Road 42, Burnsville, MN 55337. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy's name to the American Cancer Society.
