Morris, Arthur Marvin Born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, June 9, 1919. Died in Minneapolis, Minnesota, March 30, 2012. Beloved by all, he was the son of Arthur and Clara (Cronk) Morris, brother of Elmer James, Suzanne (Ki Peterson), and Mary (Schmidt), husband of Virginia (Swanke) Morris, father of Mark and (Nancy Norgaard), Cynthia and (Frederick Riebe), and grandfather of Uli and Ilse Riebe (Elijah Colby). He was an Eagle Scout at age 13, a 1937 graduate of Washburn High School, member of Delta Kappa Epsilon, University of Minnesota, bombardier- navigator US Army Air Force, WWII, past commander of the Wells-Hodgson Legion Post, a top sales agent for Canada Life Assurance Company, past-president of the Chartered Life Underwriters (CLU) of Minneapolis, a scoutmaster and executive board member of the Minnesota Viking Council (BSA), past chairman University of Minnesota Episcopal Center, a Big Brother, and a former vestry member at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church of Edina. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the donor's favorite charity. A celebration of his life is planned for this summer at the family cabin he cherished on Round Lake.
