Larsen, Melinda Jan age 62, of Wayzata, MN, passed away Monday March 21, 2016, in Minnesota, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Preceded in death by her father, Warren Larsen. Survived by mother, Donna Larsen; brother and sister-in-law Paul and Kay Larsen; and sister and brother-in-law Ann and Barry Sampson; and Ciscoe, favorite Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who held her dear. Melinda graduated from Medical College of Virginia in 1980 in Dentistry. She practiced dentistry in Minneapolis for many years. Solving problems and unifying people were among her great talents. She was an accomplished pianist. She loved music and was a long time member of Edina Chorale, Edina, MN, Schola Cantorum, Waynesboro, VA and others. She lived overseas in Japan and Brazil with family during her younger years. She enjoyed music, sailing, hiking and travel. She was at home in the outdoors. She pursued life with vigor and joy and inspired those who knew her.
