Anderson, Dr. Wallace (Wally) Everett Wally's greatest desire was to glorify his Lord faithfully to his last day. We will miss his intelligence, his wit, his sharp blue eyes, his generosity, and his commitment to serving God. We know that he is full of joy having now joined his Lord and his beloved Claire. Wally, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, June 19. He was born on May 10, 1921, to Eric and Emma Anderson and grew up in south Minneapolis. At Wheaton College, he met his wife and life companion, Claire Elizabeth Logefeil, whom he married in 1949. Wally served in the Army Air Force before receiving his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. Love of God was his priority, medicine was his gift and farming was his joy. Wally dedicated his life to Jesus Christ at 16 and continued that dedication to his last day. He served his community as a gifted physician in Lakeville, Robbinsdale and Golden Valley, and then committed eleven years to the North Memorial Hospital emergency room. He was a faithful member at St. Louis Park Evangelical Free Church since 1955. He was a longstanding participant in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) as a student, leader and mentor. He combined his skills as a physician and his love for God on many medical mission trips around the world. For fifty years, Wally shared his home at Green Pastures Farm in Medina with countless people who became friends and family to him. Wally considered his family a great blessing. He leaves behind eight children: Mark, Michael, Sarah (Stover), Stephen, Martha (Dornbush), Mary Claire, Jonathan, and Julia (Davis); and 16 grandchildren: Amy, Carrie, Kellan, Reid, Brieg, Kyle, Eric, Marne, Josiah, Luke, Andrew, Jordan, Charissa, Weber, Silas and Kenan. He shared with them his life, his faith, his thoughts, his farm, and a special cabin on Rainy Lake. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, June 26, at the St. Louis Park Evangelical Free Church, 6805 Minnetonka Blvd., 55426. A private interment is scheduled at Fort Snelling Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Louis Park Free Church Missions. albinchapel.com Albin Chapel 952-914-9410
