Johnson, Clinton B. Age 94, of Minneapolis passed away 1/10/16. Born 2/25/21 in Minneapolis, MN. Clinton graduated Washburn HS in January, 1939. Enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in the South Pacific 1942-1945 as a B-29 Navigator-Bombardier. Flew 30 Combat Missions. Employed in the trucking industry for 40 years retiring from CW Transport. Awarded life membership at Minneapolis-Richfield American Legion Post # 435. Post Commander 1969-1970. Volunteer at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital. Preceded in death by wife Eleanor. Survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Paul (Mary) and Donald (Joan), daughter Mary Kay Ehleiter (Earl, deceased), son Mark; grandchildren, Matthew (Julie), Rebecca, Karla (Peter), Kevin (Diana), David (fiancee Jillian);great-grandchildren Grace, Benedict, Sophia, Gabriel, Nolan, Brady, Brianna, Fynn, Harlow, Breckin; and relatives & friends. Visitation Thursday 1-14-16 from 6-8 PM at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7110 France Ave. South, Edina, MN 55435. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 1/15/16 at 10:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior at St. Richard's Catholic Church, 7540 Penn Ave. South Richfield, MN. 55423. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 12:15 PM. Memorials preferred to Minnesota Blind Veterans Association or the charity of your choice.
