Litt, Steven T. Age 68, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, November 22 after a long battle with Anti-phospholipid syndrome. A loving husband to his wife of 43 years, a role model to his children and a hero to his grandchildren, Steve was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on September 7, 1947. Steve is survived by his wife and best friend Louise, his children Melissa Engelberg (Adam) and Rob Litt (Monica), and the light of his life, his four grandchildren Sammy and Rachel Engelberg and Jaden and Maya Litt who all affectionately and appropriately called him "Grandpa Gopher." Steve is also survived by his mom Mary Smith. Steve was a proud older brother to Jeffrey (Pamela) Litt, Larry Litt, Stewart (Esther) Stein, Phyllis Osman and Frank (Barbara) Litt. He was also a beloved Uncle to his many nieces and nephews, cousins and proud of his close friends, many of whom shared a collective passion for Gopher sports together. Steve was preceded in death by his Mom Molly and Dad Henry, his in-laws Ruth and Herb Brody, and sister-in-law Lea Brody. Steve was a proud alum of the University of Minnesota. Steve's family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the dedicated nurses and doctors, in particular Dr. Bloom, all whom gave the gift of time. Funeral service 10 AM TUESDAY (TODAY) November 24, 2015 at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry St W, St. Louis Park.
