Bromschwig, Margaret Copp formerly of Golden Valley and Wayzata, MN; Naples, FL; and Gull Lake, MN passed away September 16, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born August 23,1926 in Springfield, IL to John and Apollona Copp, the oldest of 7 children. She grew up in an active household where family, ideas, adventure and education were prized. She graduated from Ursuline Academy and attended Springfield Junior College where she caught the eye of Bob Bromschwig, whom she married in 1949. He flew her away to Minneapolis, where she landed her plum job as Assistant to the Director of the Walker Art Center. After starting her family, she continued her education one class at a time while her children were growing up, completing her degree in art history at the University of Minnesota in 1976. She pursued her passion for the arts, both professionally and through extensive volunteer work. She started her own art-consulting firm in Minneapolis and was a docent at the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts for many years. Marge and Bob travelled the world, fulfilling her dreams of adventure. At home they danced, biked, boated, played tennis and enjoyed their many friends from the old neighborhood, Lafayette Club and beyond. In her later years her mantra was "I've had a good life." Marge treasured being a wife and mother above all, creating a very happy, fun family. She is survived by her husband, Robert Bromschwig, her daughters, Marlena "Muffie" (Bob Barnett) and Marta "Ginger" Galnick (Mitchell) and her son Kurt (Lisa) and their children Eric, Michelle and Monika. Survived by her sisters Alice Franz, Janet Dixon, Marilyn Copp and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her infant daughter Monika, her siblings Rosemary Copp, Millie Klimczak, and John Copp. She was a smart, capable and gracious woman who will be missed by many.
