Dressel, Rosemary Winnefred Age 79 of Wayzata, passed away peacefully from Alzheimers disease on January 11, 2020. She will forever be remembered by her sweet demeanor and her love of family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents John and Beatrice Blackowiak and brother Darryl. Survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Orville (Butch) Dressel; daugthers Brenda (Mark) Thorson, Julie (Jeff) Goettl, Christine (Bryan) Corcoran, and Michelle (Brent) Meiners; grandchildren Brad and Kaitlin Corcoran and Jack, Dylan and Ellie Meiners; sisters Phyllis Blackowiak, Harriet Richter, Marjorie Fitzgibbons, Judy Albrecht, Darlene Blackowiak, Gloria Jean Morse, Paulette Easthagen, Pamela Blackowiak, Anna Nelson, and Carrie Hannasch; brothers John Blackowiak, Leroy Blackowiak, and Virgil Blackowiak. Rosemary grew up in Minnetonka and graduated from Minnetonka High School in 1958. She married Orville on Feb 11, 1961 and settled in Wayzata. In addition to raising her children, she worked as a receptionist for Rockwell Automation. Her passions in life were sewing and crafting, cooking (her specialty signature dish was her lemon bars), bowling, and collecting Raggedy Ann and Andy memorabilia. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 16 at The Church of St. George, 133 North Brown Road, Long Lake, MN 55356. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at the church. In honor of Rosemary and her love of children, memorials may be made to the Children's MN Foundation in tribute of Rosemary Dressel, 5901 Lincoln Drive, Edina, MN 55436.
