Sween, Michael Age 28 of Minneapolis, MN was killed in an auto accident on Friday, November 8, 2019. Beloved son of Margaret Simmons and Paul Sween, he is survived by brother, Terrence of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Carolyn of Marsing, ID; grandmother, Glenyce Sween of Wayzata, MN, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Known for his love of the outdoors, Michael enjoyed travel, working on cars, boating on Lake Minnetonka, hunting at The Pass and training his four-legged companion Murray, a Pudelpointer puppy. Reading a description of traits that distinguish Pudelpointers, "a keen hunting breed with a love of water, strong hunting instinct and fearlessness," it is easy to see how the two were well matched. Michael was an accomplished self- taught cook and delighted in preparing gourmet feasts for friends and family. He was a soccer fan and an avid supporter of Liverpool FC. Employed at Dominium, Inc., Michael dedicated himself to working hard to provide residents with clean, safe and well maintained housing. He took great pride in honing and developing his skills to advance his career with a goal of owning and managing his own apartment building in mind. Michael had friends of every age and was conscious in accommodating their needs and interests. His larger than life presence will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, take a walk in the woods, hug your dog, check the oil in your car, grill a beautiful steak, talk about life with friends and family members over an outstanding meal. Stop and appreciate your loved ones and remind them how important they are. If you prefer, please give a gift to NAMI or Ducks Unlimited. A public visitation will occur from 5pm-7pm on Friday, November 15th at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd. East, Wayzata, MN 55391. A private service is planned for family and invited guests.
