Filipczak, Margaret M. "Peg" age 99 of Edina, went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2019. There were a lot of people on the other side waiting for her. First in line were her husband, Gordon, her daughter, Terry and her son, Steve. Parents, brothers, sisters and dear friends were in the next row, and hundreds behind them. We can almost hear the celebration from here. Mom stayed with us 2 months shy of her 100th birthday. Left to mourn her are her daughters, Sue (Tim) Rogge, Meg (Brian) Lowe, and her son, Bob; grandchildren, Terry (Scott) Lecher, Tim (Jill) Rogge Jr., Dan (Chrissie) Rogge, Sarah (Phil) Rickert and Corey (Kathleen) Fruin. She had, to date, 10 great-grandchildren, Max, Cameron, Madeline, Brooke, Grady, Ryan, Sam, Logan, Adrian and Elliott. The details of her life after a century are daunting. She tap danced in Vaudeville, opening for Baby Rose Marie. She joined the Red Cross during WWII, where she met Dad. She was a teacher - graduated Oneonta State Teacher College - and loved to tutor students in reading at Our Lady of Grace School. She was a homemaker in the best sense of the term. She filled our home with life, love and laughter - especially laughter. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Thursday, October 24 with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM at the Church of Our Lady of Grace, 5051 Eden Ave S, Edina. Interment Resurrection Cemetery Mendota Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Cookie Cart or Methodist Hospice. Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996
